Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes is reported to be a potential summer target for Real Madrid, according to Spanish outlet El Confidencial.
The 23-year-old has been one of Arsenal’s best and most consistent players this season, shining during the torrid run of form which saw numerous star players flatter to deceive.
Arsenal signed Gabriel from French club Lille in September for a reported £27million and the player hit the ground running at the Emirates Stadium.

To date, the Brazilian has made 15 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal, including 12 starts in the Premier League, and has won the Arsenal Player of the Month award three times in a row.
Gabriel’s exploits at the Emirates Stadium appear to have sparked interest from the Bernabeu, if the El Confidencial report is anything to go by.
With Sergio Ramos out of contract in the summer and a stalemate between player and club over a new deal, Real have reportedly drawn up a shortlist of potential replacements.
Gabriel is thought to be on this list, along with Villarreal’s Pau Torres, Sevilla’s Jules Kounde and Diego Carlos, Manchester City’s Eric Garcia and RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano.
TBR View:
Real Madrid are undoubtedly a big draw for a lot of players, and the prospect of replacing a club legend like Ramos could also be exciting.
However, it remains to be seen whether Ramos does extend his contract between now and the summer, which would put an end the above speculation right away.
Even if he doesn’t and Real do come knocking for Gabriel, Arsenal will surely stand their ground on a star they only signed in the summer, has been one of their best players, and is contracted to the club until 2025.
