Arsenal have reportedly rekindled their interest in Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, according to 90Min.
The outlet claims the Gunners could make a move this summer, while the Eagles are apparently prepared to cash in on their main asset.
Zaha’s contract, reportedly worth £130,000-a-week, runs until the summer of 2023.
Links between Arsenal and Zaha go back a number of years, with Arsene Wenger saying the Gunners were “looking at him” in January 2013.
The 28-year-old subsequently joined Manchester United, remaining on loan at Selhurst Park for the remainder of the season.
However, his time at Old Trafford didn’t go to plan, and the following summer he was back at Palace, first on loan and then permanently.
In November 2017, The Sun reported that Wenger wanted Zaha to replace Alexis Sanchez ahead of the Chilean’s departure.
And in the summer of 2019, Arsenal were once again linked with the 16-cap Ivory Coast international, reportedly making a £40million bid which was rejected.
Asked in January if he would have liked to have worked with Zaha, Mikel Arteta was quoted by Metro as saying: “Undoubtedly he’s a player who has done exceptionally well in the Premier League.
“He has created a big name because what he’s been able to do, sometimes on his own with some individual actions, is what people highlight most of the time.”
