Arsenal are reportedly keeping their tabs on two stars of the Champions League. The Gunners are continuing to scout Red Bull Salzburg duo Dominik Szoboszlai and Erling Braut Haaland in action, according to Football London.
Szoboszlai and Haaland both got on the scoresheet as RB Salzburg started the Champions League in impressive fashion. The Austrian side beat Genk 6-2 with four goals shared between these two Arsenal targets.
Arsenal scouts would have been thoroughly impressed with Haaland in particular. The 19-year-old, son of former Leeds and Man City star Alfe-Inge Haaland, scored a hat-trick for RB Salzburg against Genk.
The twice-capped Norway international stands at 6ft 4in tall and already has a stunning tally of 17 goals in just 9 games for RB Salzburg this year. Arsenal are looking to poach one of the most exciting young strikers in Europe.
Meanwhile, Szoboszlai was a target for Arsenal in the summer. The 18-year-old is a creative central midfielder who Arsenal have watched. Despite his young age, the 5-cap Hungary midfielder has scored seven goals and provided 10 assists for RB Salzburg’s first-team.
In Szoboszlai and Haaland, Arsenal could capture two of the most exciting teenagers in European football. Both are already starring in senior football and have the potential to become Premier League players.
Arsenal scouts need to be keeping their eyes on these two over the next few games. But if they keep catching the eye in the Champions League, Arsenal will not be the only club keen.
