Arsenal are reportedly keen on in-form forward Ivan Toney, who is currently impressing in the Championship with Brentford.
The English striker scored 26 goals in all competitions last season for League One side Peterborough United, while this campaign he’s netted 16 goals in 27 matches since moving up a division.
According to the Express, Arsenal are keeping a close eye on the 24-year-old due to his form.
It is explained that he’s impressed the Gunners scouts with his performances and they will continue to monitor him.
But the report adds that Mikel Arteta’s side are unlikely to sign a striker in January as they are working on limited funds, so they are set to keep watching the Brentford frontman in the background with their interest not “imminent”.

TBR’s View:
Aged 24, Toney’s career looks like it’ll continue on an upwards trajectory, which is why surely he’ll be playing Premier League football at some point in the future.
He’s a quality central striker with pace, power and movement, which is why he’s an integral figure for a Brentford side chasing promotion this season in the Championship.
He’s a goal machine that is great in the air and is an intriguing target for Arsenal to follow, but if they really want to get in the mix back at the top end of the table they’ll need marquee signings alongside him next summer.
