Some Arsenal players are reportedly concerned about Inaki Cana’s suitability as Gunners goalkeeping coach, according to The Athletic.
The 45-year-old joined Arsenal in December 2019, shortly after Mikel Arteta took the reins at the Emirates.
Cana was previously at Brentford and FC Nordjaelland, where he worked with Runar Alex Runarsson, who joined Arsenal in September 2020.

However, the Icelander’s spell at the Emirates has been largely fruitless so far.
According to The Athletic, Cana’s credibility has been damaged by his recommendation of Runarsson.
And with Bernd Leno’s form also now dipping, there is reportedly concern among the playing staff about Cana’s suitability for the role.
Two other popular goalkeeping coaches, Sal Bibbo and Andy Woodman, have been moved on, apparently to grant Cana license to remodel the department.
Given the concerns over Runarsson and other aspects, affording a coach that degree of autonomy has raised alarm, added the report.
TBR View:
A damning report by The Athletic, entitled “lack of experience in Arsenal’s positions of power causing cracks in rebuild”.
The Gunners have endured a frustrating and underwhelming season which promised so much but has delivered virtually nothing.
There’s a lot of work to do over the summer and next season both on and off the pitch, not to mention a lot of decisions to be made.
