Report: Arsenal player will leave next summer on a free

Football London have reported that Alexandre Lacazette ‘will’ leave Arsenal next summer on a free transfer, when his Gunners contract expires.

Lacazette, 30, is out of contract next summer. The France international has managed just two substitute appearances in the Premier League so far.

The ex-Lyon man has scored two goals in two Carabao Cup outings this season. But Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is easily first choice at Arsenal.

The Gunners also boast Eddie Nketiah who is in a similar position to Lacazette. But Arsenal may be more tempted to keep Nketiah, given his age.

The latest report regarding Lacazette’s future – with the Gunners linked with Dom Calvert-Lewin and Ollie Watkins – states that he will definitely go.

Lacazette to leave Arsenal: Where is his best move – back to France?

Returning to Lyon and playing under Peter Bosz would be a move that would surely pull at the heartstrings of Lacazette next summer.

He scored 129 goals in 275 games for Lyon. So, returning to the Ligue 1 club would surely be tempting. He would have to take a big pay cut.

A move to another Premier League club also has a chance – with West Ham in need of a striker. La Razon say Spanish side Sevilla are interested.

What is for sure, is that Lacazette will remain in Europe’s top five leagues. Whether he joins another Premier League side, is interesting.
