According to The Telegraph, Arsenal are open to selling young midfielder Joe Willock for around £20m, with Newcastle hoping to land the 21-year-old.
Willock has been in excellent form for the Magpies since moving up to St James’ Park in January. He has scored three crucial goals, including a match-winning effort last weekend.

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce has already admitted that he’d ‘love’ to sign Willock permanently. And The Telegraph now reports that Arsenal would be open to selling Willock, with a fee of around £20m said to be on the agenda.
Willock found it difficult to break into the team at Arsenal. Mikel Arteta, despite admitting his young midfielder has ‘special qualities’, authorised the move in January. It’s a move that has worked out well for all parties.
Newcastle will no stay in the top flight, while Arsenal have a saleable asset on their hands. Willock, meanwhile, could face a big decision over his future.
TBR View: Willock should leave Arsenal and be the main man somewhere
Whether that be at Newcastle United or not remains to be seen. But Willock has proven himself while in the north east and other PL clubs will have taken notice.
For Arsenal, they’ll probably get more money for Willock now than they ever thought they would. That makes a sale the ideal outcome really, especially if he isn’t going to play.
In terms of Willock himself, he should want to keep playing regular football. Now he has a taste for it, he should want to continue.
