Arsenal are reportedly interested in Sassuolo attacker Domenico Berardi along with Manchester United and Tottenham.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Berardi is keen to move on from Italy this summer. Inter Milan and Juventus are also keen on the attacker. Sassuolo value the winger at €50m (£43m).

Berardi was instrumental in Italy’s 3-0 Euro 2020 win against Turkey on Friday. As per Gazzetta dello Sport, his performances this summer will likely win him suitors following his showcase outing for Roberto Mancini’s side last week.

Domenico Berardi: The game change for Italy

In a scout report by the Independent, Berardi’s performance for Italy was put into focus as the dynamic winger was key to the Azzurri’s win. The attacker was a menace down the right-wing for Turkey and was a handful throughout the match.

Although the Sassuolo star didn’t score or assist on the evening, his presence in the match was huge. Berardi found the space in Turkey’s half to create chances and to cause problems for the Southeast European nation.

Wingers are the last of Arsenal’s problems

Berardi is a fantastic player who is beginning to reach the prime of his career after continuing to develop Sassuolo. But for Arsenal, wingers are one of the last positions the club need to be worried about this summer.

With Nicolas Pepe coming off the back of his best season for Arsenal and the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli two of the Premier League’s most exciting talents, the wide-areas just don’t need strengthening this summer.

Indeed, with Granit Xhaka set to leave for AS Roma soon as well as Matteo Guendouzi to Marseille, central midfield is the key position for Arsenal to improve on this summer. And with Hector Bellerin also expected to depart, so too is the right-back area of the squad.
