Arsenal are close to agreeing a new contract with young striker, Folarin Balogun, according to a fresh report from the Daily Mail.

The youngster has failed to come to terms on a new deal for a while but it appears the Gunners have now made a breakthrough in talks.

Balogun is set to sign a long-term deal with the club and put to bed speculation on his future. It should put an end to any interest in Balogun from abroad, with teams in the Bundesliga among those who have been chasing him.

Balogun has not been involved too much this season and had made it known he wanted first team minutes before committing his future. This new deal suggests Mikel Arteta has convinced him he will get playing time into the new season and beyond.
