Arsenal have reportedly offered a trial to 18-year-old defender Aron Sanchez, who plays for AD Cantolao in the top-flight of Peru.
According to Football London, technical director Edu Gasper is eager to sign more players from the South American market following new transfer rules for Premier League clubs.

Following Brexit, new rules make it difficult for British clubs to sign players from more obscure European leagues.
However, players from the likes of North and South America with international experience are now much easier to recruit due to the new Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) system.

And this is seemingly what has led Arsenal to Sanchez. The defender is one of the top prospects currently playing in Peru.
‘Great physical structure’
The 18-year-old centre-back was named on Peru’s provisional list for this summer’s Copa America tournament. And the defender has impressed at club level for AD Cantolao.

As per a scout report from football agency D’Alessandro Scouting, Sanchez is a specimen both physically and technically.
The report highlights the defender’s ‘great physical structure’ as well as his ‘excellent technical skills’ which have won the defender so many plaudits in his homeland.
Aron Sanchez can be an excellent addition to Arsenal
Arsenal have been busy signing new players for their youth side over the past 12 months. The likes of Omar Rekik and Nikolaj Moller joined the club last summer. And it appears that this trend will continue this year.

And Sanchez could be an excellent addition to the Gunners U-23 side as well as a smart signing long-term.
We have already seen Edu find gold in South America in the form of Gabriel Martinelli, and with Brexit making it easier for English sides to sign this sort of player, it will be interesting to see what the north London side do with this new avenue.
