Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares has impressed since arriving at the Emirates Stadium.
So much so, in fact, that the Gunners gem is now reportedly a target for Manchester City.
Arsenal spent big sums of money on several players, while Tavares’ arrival was relatively under-the-radar.

The north Londoners signed the 21-year-old in the summer for a reported £8.5million on a long-term contract.
However, Tavares has done so well that he briefly displaced the consistently superb Kieran Tierney in the Arsenal XI.
Now, ESPN reports that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola been keeping tabs on the Portuguese this season.
Though City are apparently not planning to move for Tavares in January, he remains a player of interest.
Arsenal should be proud but also cautious about City interest in Tavares – TBR View
Arsenal have had their fair share of issues over the years and their team is still in transition, albeit on the right track.
To hear that one of your players is reportedly on City’s radar is something to be proud about as it highlights his quality.
Likewise, the Arsenal scouting department will surely also feel some pride, given they snapped him up for so little.

Realistically, the Gunners won’t entertain an offer for a young player who’s just joined, either in January or summer.
That said, Arsenal should still be cautious – obviously a team like City will have huge pulling power, not to mention financial muscle.
Much could depend on where the Gunners finish this season.
If they seal a Champions League place, they’ll suddenly have their own major pulling (and retaining) power back again.
And Tavares, a player who former Benfica coach Joao Tralhao has deemed as having “incredible potential”, will probably not want to go anywhere.
