Report: Arsenal now pushing hard to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus
Arsenal are now pushing hard to sign Dusan Vlahovic, but Juventus would only be willing to sell the Serbian striker for a crazy offer, according to a report from Calciomercato.
Vlahovic is wanted by a host of European heavyweights after a mixed start to life in Turin. He arrived off the back of an amazing run with Fiorentina. With that, his return of 16 goals in 36 games for Juve seems almost a little underwhelming.
Calciomercato reports that Juventus have no current intention to listen to offers for Vlahovic until the summer at the earliest. But that is not stopping his admirers from making their move.
Arsenal pushing for Vlahovic
In fact, Calciomercato reports that Arsenal and Manchester United are pushing hard for the 22-year-old. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in signing Vlahovic.
Juve meanwhile, would need a crazy offer to consider selling him. A bid of £70 million would be the absolute minimum as a starting point before negotiations could even begin.
Arsenal may be particularly wary of missing out in January. Obviously, they have lost Gabriel Jesus to a serious injury which looks set to keep him sidelined for several months.
But they may also feel that it is a risk to hold off on making a bid for Vlahovic until the summer.
He is a ‘ridiculous‘ talent with the potential to do much better than he is currently doing. So if he remains at Juventus, there is every chance that he will go on an outrageous run which ends any hope of luring him away.
It would be a huge statement if Arsenal managed to sign Vlahovic. Clearly, it is going to take a massive effort from the Gunners to convince Juve to sell their star.
