Report: Arsenal monitoring Diego Costa ahead of potential January move
Arsenal are said to be monitoring the situation of former Chelsea striker and current Atletico Madrid man, Diego Costa, ahead of a potential January move.
According to AS, the Gunners are keeping tabs on Costa, who is thought to be training away from the first-team in Madrid and is looking to move in January rather than at the end of his deal in the summer.

Costa, who has close links to rival manager Jose Mourinho and current Gunner, Thomas Partey, has won the Premier League title twice in his career, while he’s also added Europa League and La Liga success to his resume while in Spain.
Mikel Arteta’s side have struggled up top for most of the season with neither Eddie Nketiah or Alexandre Lacazette really seizing the number nine spot in the Gunners XI.

Costa, now 32, could well provide Arteta with much-needed experience and aggression in what is a young Arsenal side.
Mourinho’s man, but perfect for Arsenal right now – TBR View
If ever a team needed someone to play the battering ram role and lead from the front, it’s Arsenal.
On paper, then, Diego Costa would be a perfect addition, especially on a free. The goals have dried up somewhat in recent seasons for Costa but he remains a big threat and a big player. Indeed, Jose Mourinho was a big fan of his.
Arsenal have some fine young players who proved their worth against Chelsea. The addition of Costa could help those young players along and bring an experienced head with a winning mentality into the picture.
