Arsenal have now received an approach from Reading for goalkeeper Karl Hein, with The Sun reporting that the Gunners will let him go on one condition.

Hein is in a unique position at the Emirates. He is yet to make his debut for Arsenal. And yet, he is playing regularly at international level with Estonia.

In fact, his performances are often monitored by Arsenal fans. And he has been lauded on several occasions.

There is a possibility that Bernd Leno may leave in this window. The German has been linked with a move to Newcastle United. But he may not be the only stopper to move on.

According to The Sun, Reading have made a bid to take Hein on loan. The Royals are in serious danger of falling out of the Championship. They sit just three points and one point above the bottom three.

No side has conceded more goals than Reading. And with that, they hope to convince the Gunners to allow Hein to join on loan.

The Sun suggests that Arsenal are open to the offer. However, they want assurances that he will play ahead of Luke Southwood should he make the switch.

Karl Hein should be very interested in Reading loan as he awaits Arsenal chance

Moving to Reading could be risky. They are really struggling. And it will be difficult for Hein to really prove that he is ready for Arsenal in the bottom-half of the Championship.

However, Hein needs to show what he can do. And he can certainly be expect to be kept busy if he joins the Royals.

Emi Martinez’s final loan spell on Arsenal’s books came at Reading. It was an injury to Leno that handed him his chance with the Gunners. But his impressive form for the Royals still caught the eye.

Hein should welcome the chance to leave on loan. And Arsenal should not stand in his way if they receive assurances.
