Report: Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton make Emmanuel Dennis enquiry
Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton are amongst the clubs to have made an enquiry for Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Dennis, according to a report from French outlet Foot Mercato.
Dennis is attracting a lot of attention after an impressive start to the season. He has scored five goals in 14 league appearances this term, with 10 starts under his belt. He also scored twice in the group-stages of the Champions League this season, with both goals coming in the 2-2 draw with Real Madrid.
Foot Mercato reports that his ability to use both feet is one of the big reasons he has so many admirers. And it appears that he could be offered the chance to move to the Premier League in the near future.
Foot Mercato suggests that the Gunners, Toffees and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have all made enquiries for the 22-year-old. It is noted that they are yet to make an offer for the Nigerian.
The report adds that Club Brugge would want at least £25.7 million for Dennis, who would like to finish the season in Belgium before moving on.
It may look to be a major gamble to pay such a significant fee for Dennis. He is still learning and developing. But it is telling that so many clubs are interested in signing the youngster.
He has scored in the Champions League. And he is more than capable of playing in a number of positions.
Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United may all have greater priorities to address right now. But if their transfer kitty allows, perhaps a move for Dennis could prove to be a masterstroke.
