Arsenal have made a move to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan, the Telegraph report.
Making moves
Arsenal are keen to bring in a new striker before the summer transfer window closes.
However, Inter have given their approach very little consideration, according to the update.
Inter want to keep Martinez at least for another season and actually want him to pen a new deal.
That means that any transfer for Arsenal looks unlikely, but the Telegraph does not that Edu is really showing great ambition in the transfer window.
Martinez could certainly have been an appealing option for the Gunners to bring in.
Exciting target

Martinez has scored 39 goals over the last two seasons, which has made him one of the most feared stars in Serie A.
Indeed, Martinez has some high profile admirers, including Lionel Messi, who called him ‘spectacular’ (Mundo Deportivo). Hernan Crespo has also called him the ‘New Aguero’ (Daily Mail).
If he was to arrive it Arsenal it really would be an eye catching addition to their team, and he would surely make them a much more potent attacking threat.
But his arrival would also see further questions asked of the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emile Aubameyang, who would see their places in the team come under further pressure.
