Report: Arsenal make improved Ben White transfer bid, Brighton respond
Arsenal have made an improved bid for Ben White, according to The Sun.
The Gunners apparently made their first bid last week, tabling a £40million offer to Brighton.
This was rejected, and Arsenal have now reportedly come back with a £42million offer, rising to £45million.
However, The Sun claims Brighton have turned it down, and are demanding £50million plus add-ons.
Arsenal are now apparently discussing a £45million offer with £5million in add-on, but the Seagulls seemingly want more.
Other big clubs, such as Liverpool, Spurs, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund, are reportedly monitoring the 23-year-old.
Ben White: From talented prospect to star in the making
In the space of two years, White has gone from a talented prospect at a modest club to one of English football’s rising superstars.
When he joined Leeds on loan in 2019, he had never played in the top two divisions of English football.
Despite his lack of top-level experience, White was sensational for Leeds.
He featured in every one of their Championship games and helped them win the title.
Unsurprisingly, Leeds wanted to buy him following their promotion to the Premier League.
However, they were ultimately unsuccessful as White penned a new deal at Brighton.
The Englishman has since become a regular for the Seagulls, making 36 Premier League appearances last term.
