Arsenal are planning to try and sign a new goalkeeper this summer amid concerns over Bernd Leno’s injury, according to a report from The Sun.
Leno has been sidelined since the Gunners’ defeat to Brighton in June. The Sun reports that he suffered a ligament strain and they are now planning to send him for further tests.

The Sun suggests that Arsenal want clarification on how long the German will be out for. And thus, they are reportedly preparing to go into the transfer market to land a signing who can provide cover for Emi Martinez.
Martinez has been outstanding since being brought into the team. And The Sun has suggested that he is set to start the new campaign as first-choice at the Emirates.

TBR View: Signing cover for Leno will not be easy for Mikel Arteta
Martinez’s form has taken a lot of pressure off Arteta. However, it would still not be a huge surprise if signing a new goalkeeper proved problematic for Arsenal this summer.
They need a player who will be good enough to come in should anything happen to Martinez. But that new signing could be in danger of becoming third choice once Leno returns from injury.
So it may not be the easiest task for Arteta to deal with. But if Leno is going to be sidelined for a substantial period, then it is one issue that he perhaps cannot afford to ignore.
