Reported Arsenal target Rafinha is hoping to receive an offer from England with Barcelona hoping to cash in on him, according to Todofichajes.
A recent report from fellow Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claimed that the Brazil midfielder is on the Gunners’ radar.
Rafinha is currently on loan at Celta Vigo but, according to Todofichajes, isn’t interested in joining permanently, and wants to test himself either in Italy or England.
The outlet goes on to claim that Serie A giants Inter and Juventus are in pursuit, but the player himself is hoping that an offer from the Premier League arrives.
Rafinha has come through the ranks at Barcelona and has made 90 senior appearances, scoring 12 goals and claiming eight assists.
The 27-year-old is contracted to the Camp Nou until 2021 and reportedly has a 16million Euro buyout clause (around £14million).
Barca are reported to be experiencing financial difficulties and have seemingly made numerous players available for sale.
Rafinha is a high-calibre player with a glittering CV – one Champions League, three Liga Titles, five Spanish Cups, various Supercups and even an Olympic gold medal.
His technique and tenacity once had Luis Enrique tipping him to become “very important in the future of Barca“.
On the flip side, Rafinha’s injury history is somewhat concerning – two cruciate ligament injuries and a meniscal injury amid numerous other short-term issues.
Mikel Arteta will have to truly weigh up the pros and cons, but overall, to get such a high quality player for around £14million seems worth it – but there’s likely to be a lot of competition.
