Report: Move for £86m Arsenal target is 'inevitable'; player has been tipped to become a 'superstar'
It appears that Rennes are powerless in their hopes of keeping Eduardo Camavinga this summer, as Arsenal continue to monitor the Frenchman.
Camaving has emerged as one of the top young players on the continent in recent seasons. His form with Rennes and then subsequent cameos for France have caught the eye.
Indeed, Arsenal are among the clubs keen on the youngster. It’s suggested that Rennes want £86m for their man, however, that valuation is unlikely to met any time soon.
Camavinga is also refusing to sign a new contract and Le Parisien now claim that a move away from Rennes is ‘inevitable’.
Camavinga is one of the most exciting prospects to emerge from France for a number of years. And that is saying something, given the talent in their squad.
His agent, Jonathan Barnett, has tipped him to become a ‘superstar’ in the future.
“His character is amazingly strong. He is not your average 18-year-old. Playing in front of 100,000 people is not going to scare him. He’s a lovely boy and I think he’s going to be a superstar,” Barnett told the MEN.
Out of reach?
While Arsenal are looking to spend big this summer Camavinga might be someone who is out of reach. Not only do Rennes want huge money, but the likes of Real Madrid are also sniffing.
And with no European football on offer and a period of huge change going on, Arsenal could struggle to attract Camavinga.
Rest assured, though, where ever he does end up, is going to be getting a fine player.
