Arsenal have made a bid for Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City amid growing interest from European champions Real Madrid.
Goal’s Brazilian arm have reported an update on the striker’s situation, after months of speculation linking him with a move to north London.
Carlo Ancelotti is seemingly keen to bring the Brazilian to the Spanish champions, after missing out of Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.
That could be bad news for Arsenal, with negotiations having cooled slightly despite an opening bid being made, which is lower than City’s asking price.

Arsenal bid for Jesus
Their report reads: “Negotiation between Gabriel Jesus and Arsenal cools, and Carlo Ancelotti weighs up a bid for the Brazilian striker. Real Madrid’s interest was initially published by Marca and now confirmed by Goal.
“Arsenal have made a bid of 50 million euros (£42.6 million) for the striker, but City are demanding 60 million euros (£51.2 million) for his sale. The 25-year-old also doesn’t make as much of a point about an exit for the Gunners at the moment, especially since the club does not play the next edition of the UEFA Champions League.
“Faced with the impasse in Arsenal’s situation, Real Madrid emerges as an alternative. Coach Carlo Ancelotti made contact with the athlete and showed interest in his acquisition. He sees it as an alternative to the vacancy that could be occupied by Mbappé, who decided to renew with Paris Saint-Germain.
“The possible trip to the Santiago Bernabéu pleases the center forward, who is willing to transfer to the team next season. His people were in London last week to discuss the athlete’s departure from the England team.“

Pep Guardiola has described Jesus as ‘incredible‘ and that is underlined by the high asking price for a player going into the final year of his contract.
City of course have no financial pressure to sell, but it would probably be worthwhile them taking a significant amount of money for a player who wants to go.
On top of that, Erling Haaland’s arrival means he will get even less gametime next season.
Madrid’s interest has to be a concern for Arsenal, and if Los Blancos go all out to get Jesus, they have every chance of getting him.
