Report: 'Key' Arsenal player wanted by La Liga club

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin is on the radar of Real Betis, according to Coliseo Verdiblanco.

The Gunners ace has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium for a number of months now.

Back in February, ESPN reported that Bellerin wanted to quit the Gunners at the end of last season.

However, the 26-year-old stayed in wake of heart-to-heart talks with Arteta.

Celtic strike Premier Sports deal - is this the "additional value" we've been waiting for?

Apparently both Arsenal and Bellerin now feel that, with two years left on his contract, this summer’s the right time to move on.

Meanwhile, Betis are reportedly close to losing Emerson Royal, who appears destined for Barcelona.

And Coliseo Verdiblanco claims that the La Liga club is eyeing Bellerin as a replacement.

The outlet describes Betis’ plans to move for the Spaniard as “complicated” and “expensive”.

However, Betis reportedly feel that European football could tempt Bellerin, a player who has “lost his level” at Arsenal.

The Gunners won’t play any part in Europe next season, while Betis are in the Europa League.

Arteta has previously referred to Bellerin as a “key figure” at Arsenal, a popular player in the dressing room with “special feelings towards the club”.

However, all the signs seem to be pointing to both parties going their separate ways, and Betis wouldn’t be a bad shout for Bellerin.

That said, could Betis actually afford the reported £13m-17m price tag and match his £110,000-a-week wages?
