Arsenal are reportedly keeping an eye on Derby County youngster, Louie Sibley, who has burst onto the scene this season down in the Sky Bet Championship.
According to Football.London, Sibley is one of a number of players Mikel Arteta is keeping tabs on in the second tier. Sibley’s name is mentioned alongside Eberechi Eze and Said Benrahma. All three have had superb seasons in the Championship.

However, it is the name of Sibley that comes as something of a surprise. The Gunners have already been linked with Benrahma, while Eze has been catching the eye for a number of seasons already.
The teenager has already scored five goals in just eleven Championship appearances. Those goals include a stunning hat-trick for Sibley against Millwall just a few months back.

The youngster is learning from Wayne Rooney at Derby, it seems. Capable of playing up front, Sibley has shown he is just as adept in an attacking number ten role, similar to that which Rooney occupied for much of his career.
No harm in snapping up the top talent, even if they aren’t quite Premier League ready – TBR View
The best way to build for the future is by bringing your own players through, but also knowing when to snap up players from the lower divisions.
Sibley is a top, top talent. Capable of the spectacular but with a seemingly level head on his shoulders, it’s little wonder to see the teenager doing so well for the Rams.
Arsenal, then, could do far worse than add a player of Sibley’s calibre to the ranks. Yes, the Gunners fans will crave big-name signings but there is nothing at all wrong with adding top young players to the squad either.
