The Daily Mail have claimed Arsenal have joined the race to sign powerful Amiens striker Serhou Guirassy after the immediate end to the Ligue 1 campaign saw his side relegated – and his agent has commented on his future.
Guirassy, 24, starred up front for Amiens – scoring nine goals in 23 Ligue 1 games. Indeed, he netted more than a quarter of Amiens’ 31 league goals himself and that has sparked a scramble for his signature this summer.
Indeed, the striker is expected to leave following Amiens’ relegation. French outlet Le10Sport have claimed that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are all interested in Guirassy, with the report claiming Amiens want £17.5million.
However, the latest report claims a fourth London-based club want Guirassy this summer, in the form of Arsenal – with doubts surrounding over the futures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

TBR’s view – Guirassy a decent option, but should only be a last resort
Indeed, Arsenal should only consider Guirassy if Lacazette departs. A powerful, physical striker, Guirassy is best with his back to goal, holding the ball up and bringing others into the game – much like Lacazette.
Losing Aubameyang would be a blow, but Guirassy should not be brought in to replace the skipper. However, if Lacazette departs – with a move to Atletico Madrid on the cards – Guirassy has got to be brought in.
