Arsenal have reportedly set their sights on snapping up 15-year-old starlet Omari Forson from Manchester United.

As reported by The Daily Mail, the Gunners have recently had a shake-up of their academy recruitment staff and are looking to bring the country’s best talent to the club.

Forson has only been with United since January 2019 after joining from Tottenham Hotspur.

He is a regular in the Red Devils’ U16 side, and also features occasionally for the U18s.

Forson, a midfielder, is supposedly one of the best young talents currently in English football, and was deemed a major coup for United this time one year ago.

Following the appointment of Mikel Arteta as first-team manager, Arsenal are also looking to bring aboard some of Manchester City’s youth scouts as part of their restructuring.

Given he has really only just joined United, to be prised away just a year later would suggest Arsenal mean business.

It seems the club are keen to turn over a new leaf in terms of their scouting and recruitment, and getting talent-spotters in from City could help them bring in some fantastic prospects for the future – perhaps starting with Forson.
