Reliable French outlet Foot Mercato have claimed that Arsenal want to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot on loan in the January transfer window, as the Frenchman struggles to make an impact with the Italian champions.
Rabiot, 24, was one of a number of players to join Juventus on a free transfer in the summer. Aaron Ramsey joined Juve from Arsenal, while Emre Can has done so under the Bosman ruling in the past.
But since his move from Paris Saint-Germain, Maurizio Sarri has used the holding midfielder just 12 times in all competitions this season. Five of those have come friom the substitutes bench and now Rabiot is already keen on leaving.
The Gunners are in need of midfielders with Granit Xhaka reportedly set to be on his way to Jurgen Klinsmann’s Hertha Berlin. Rabiot is earning £120,000 a week at Juventus, according to The Sun.

TBR’s view – Rabiot would be a stunning signing for Arsenal
Rabiot is an excellent holding midfielder and on his day, he is up there with the likes of Sergio Busquets, Fernandinho, Miralem Pjanic, Casemeiro and Fabinho. He just needs game time to show that.
Landing the Frenchman on loan, with a view to taking him permanently in the summer, would be stunning business from Arsenal and a real sign of intent from manager Mikel Arteta. It remains to be seen if Juve will let Rabiot leave.
