Arsenal are reportedly interested in trying to sign midfielder Joan Jordan from Spanish top-flight club Sevilla.
According to the Sun, the Gunners have put the 26-year-old top of their shopping list for the January transfer window and he’s a player they’ve admired for three years.
It is explained that a move to the Premier League, especially to work under Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, appeals to the Spanish midfielder.
The report adds that Sevilla signed him for £13million last year and he’s got a £55million buy-out clause in his current deal, but they are ready to listen to offers of around £32million.
Jordan is an all-action central midfielder that is a regular starter for a Sevilla team that are currently sixth in La Liga, plus they are in the knockout rounds of this season’s Champions League.

TBR’s View:
Despite an encouraging win over Chelsea in their previous Premier League game, it’s been a poor domestic season for Arsenal so far and they can’t solely rely on a decent run in the Europa League.
One area they desperately need to reinforce in the New Year is the centre of the park, which is why it’s no surprise to see them linked with a midfielder.
Jordan is a box-to-box central midfielder that contributes going forward with creativity and he’s also a set-piece specialist, while defensively he covers a lot of ground and is an aggressive tackler.
