Goal claim Arsenal are in talks to sign free agent George Lewis this summer with the Norwegian ace impressing on a two-week trial period earlier in the year.
Lewis, 19, is a free agent having spent the last few years plying his trade in the lower leagues of Norwegian football. He is expected to link up with Steve Bould’s Under-23 side if a deal is completed.
The Rwanda-born winger has spent some time with League One side Ipswich Town of late, after coming through the ranks with Norwegian outfit Tromso. Brief spells with Norwegian minnows Tromsdalen and Fram Larvik have also occured of late.
Lewis joined Arsenal for a seven-day period and he impressed coaches so much he was afforded another seven days. Now, he has done enough to convince Arsenal to pursue a deal. Talks are expected to have a positive outcome.

TBR’s view – Lewis will have it all to do, if he is to be a success at Arsenal
But one thing riding in Lewis’ favour, is that Mikel Arteta is more than keen to bring through a number of young players. Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock, Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka, Matteo Guendouzi and Gabriel Martinelli are all examples.
Arsenal are somewhat lacking out wide, but Lewis will face plenty of competition from the likes of Saka, Nelson and Nicolas Pepe. He will have to shine for the reserves and perhaps even impress out on loan, first.
