Arsenal are looking to lift some of the gloom surrounding the Emirates in the coming days with the Daily Mail reporting that the Gunners hope to sign both Aaron Ramsdale and Martin Odegaard this week.
Mikel Arteta is back under severe pressure from supporters. Arsenal, of course, were beaten on the opening day of the new Premier League season.

The result highlighted the work the Gunners still need to do. After hopes of an overhaul, fans have been left feeling incredibly underwhelmed with what has actually been achieved in this window.
There remains major areas for concern. Bernd Leno is still without an understudy. The Gunners seem to boast three very average right-backs. They are yet to sign a new number 10. And some fans will have held out hope that a new striker may also arrive.
It is going to be difficult for all of those problems to be addressed before the deadline passes. But, perhaps two of those issues may be rectified before too long.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal hope to sign Ramsdale and Odegaard this week.
The move for Ramsdale has been turbulent. Reports in recent days suggested that Arsenal were in advanced talks. However, within hours, it appeared that that move had collapsed (Mirror).
Meanwhile, Odegaard may be on the move after struggling to win a prominent role in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans with Real Madrid.
Ramsdale and Odegaard deals would not appease all disgruntled Arsenal fans
It would be a step in the right direction for Arsenal to sign both Ramsdale and Odegaard. Admittedly, some supporters may only believe it will happen when they see it.
But producing those two signings are unlikely to appease all of those who are worried about the direction the club are moving in.
Ramsdale could theoretically only make a handful of appearances this season.
Meanwhile, some are seemingly yet to be convinced that Odegaard is going to be a game-changer Arsenal are crying out for.
He showed last season that he boasts real quality. But whether he can produce it often enough remains to be seen.
