Arsenal are hoping that the good relationship between Martin Odegaard and Eden Hazard will boost their hopes of beating Newcastle to the signature of the Real Madrid man, according to a report from Spanish outlet Defensa Central.
Hazard has emerged as a surprise target for the Gunners ahead of this summer. The Belgian, of course, has endured a nightmare spell with Los Blancos.

He has only scored six goals in 65 games for the club. And remarkably, he is yet to play a single minute in an El Clasico since leaving Chelsea back in 2019.
Reports claimed that both Arsenal and Newcastle want Hazard. Of course, Mikel Arteta’s men are hoping that they will have a Champions League campaign to prepare for next season.

And it would appear that Arsenal believe that they may have an ace up their sleeve in the race to sign Hazard.
Defensa Central notes that Hazard had a very good relationship with Odegaard while they were together in the Spanish capital. In fact, the Belgian acted as a tutor for the youngster.
Arsenal signing Eden Hazard would be huge gamble, but Odegaard seal of approval would help
Defensa Central reports that Hazard is the second-highest earner at the Bernabeu. So even if he is prepared to take a big pay-cut at his next club, he is still going to be earning a hefty sum.
With that in mind, it is clearly going to be a huge gamble for Arsenal to sign Hazard this summer. However, he is a player with 85 goals in the Premier League. He was previously labelled an ‘absolute superstar‘ by Jamie Carragher.
He may relish the chance to return to a place where he has enjoyed success, as Philippe Coutinho has at Aston Villa.
And if Odegaard feels that Hazard would be a good signing for Arsenal, Mikel Arteta has to surely take that into some consideration.
