Arsenal are reportedly hitting a brick wall in their pursuit of Daniel Bachmann from Premier League and London rivals Watford.
The Sun reports the Gunners, along with Dutch giants Ajax, have shown an interest in the 27-year-old.
However, Watford’s £15million-rated goalkeeper is as a key player at Vicarage Road, so they are refusing to sell him.
That means Arsenal are set to turn attention back towards Sheffield United’s number one Aaron Ramsdale, with a potential third bid to try bring the 23-year-old to the Emirates Stadium.
Bachmann played a key role in the second half of last season for Watford, keeping 13 clean sheets in 23 league games to help steer them to promotion from the Championship.
The Austrian impressed with his country at Euro 2020, too, but it looks like he’s staying at Watford.

Arsenal missing out on Daniel Bachmann isn’t the end of the world
Bachmann’s reputation is growing right now due to speculation about his future, but £15million looks too big a price to pay.
He’s never played a minute of Premier League football, so is going into the unknown this campaign with Watford.
Arsenal need to bring a new goalkeeper to provide cover for Bernd Leno because they are in trouble without him. For example, Gunners shot-stopper Runar Alex Runarsson buckled under the pressure last season when called upon in the first team.
