The Rise & Fall of José Mourinho

FC Inter News has claimed that the Gunners have twice sent scouts to watch Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca.

As well as Arsenal, Newcastle have apparently been eyeing the 23-year-old too.

And a month ago, Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham were also being linked with Scamacca.

The Italian powerhouse is apparently on the radar of Inter Milan and Juventus as well.

FCIN suggests Sassuolo rate Scamacca at 40million euro, or around £33.5million.

Arsenal could lose two strikers at the end of the season, with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah out of contract.

Therefore, it’s not surprising to see the Gunners making an effort this early on to bring in replacements.

Can Arsenal beat Spurs to Zlatan 2.0?

Scamacca has emerged as one of Italy’s finest young strikers this season.

He had to bide his time to make his Sassuolo breakthrough following a number of loan spells.

However, Scamacca is now impressing in black-and-green, with nine goals from 21 Serie A appearances this term.

The 6ft 5in striker is dominant in the air, holds the ball up well, can pick out a killer pass and is very mobile for his size.

And of course, Scamacca has an eye for goal – all traits that make him a superb No. 9.

Scamacca has deemed Zlatan Ibrahimovic an “icon” – and some fans certainly think he could be Ibra 2.0.
