Arsenal have been handed a boost in the race for Layvin Kurzawa with Juventus apparently open to selling Mattia De Sciglio to PSG this summer.
According to a report from Calciomercato, the Turin giants are said to be considering allowing De Sciglio to leave.
The report claims PSG are interested in the Italian, who can play both left and right-back. That, of course, could see Kurzawa pushed further down the pecking order in Paris.
Arsenal are apparently very keen on signing left-back, Kurzawa. Indeed, a report from the Sun in January claimed Arsenal had already agreed terms on a summer deal for the 27-year-old.
Mikel Arteta is dead set on improving his squad it would seem. News, then, of Juventus’ willingness to move De Sciglio to PSG, will only boost his hopes of landing Kurzawa.
Juventus doing Arsenal a favour with Kurzawa
It seems strange that it is Juventus who could be helping Arsenal along here, given the circumstances.
However, that appears to exactly the case. Mattia De Sciglio is one of the most reliable defenders in Europe.
In fact, the report from Calciomercato details that Juventus kept him for that reason, along with his ability to play a number of positions.
Moving to PSG is always going to be a big draw nowadays for players. The money and ambition involved at the club isn’t matched in many places.
