Arsenal are in talks over a deal to bring Martin Odegaard back to the club and could actually end up landing him for a bargain £38m.
The Gunners have been seeking out a new attacking midfield player all summer, with Odegaard and James Maddison their two top targets.
Reports yesterday surfaced to suggest Odegaard was now in talks with the Gunners over a return. It came after Real Madrid left him out of their squad, proving to be the final straw for Odegaard.

However, while some have suggested the money could go as high as £50m for the Norwegian star, ESPN have now claimed Arsenal could actually be set for a big discount.
ESPN claim that Arsenal could actually land Odegaard for as little as £38m, some way off other reports and certainly less than the £60m+ they’ve been quoted for Maddison.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta was impressed with Odegaard last term. And after seeing his side lose 2-0 to Brentford last night, it was abundantly clear that no faces are necessary.
Time for Edu to walk the walk
Underwhelming. That’s been the buzz word for Arsenal fans when it comes to their transfer activity this summer. Tavares, White, and Lokonga is hardly the overhaul the club’s fans were promised at the beginning of the summer.
Now, with Odegaard seemingly in touching distance, it’s time for Edu to walk the walk and seal the deal for Arsenal.
£38m is a good price, too. Yes, it’s a big chunk of change but relative to Premier League money, it’s not that much. Arsenal need a midfielder, so it goes without saying that Odegaard is a must-buy now.
