Report: Arsenal face Leicester competition to sign Porto midfielder Otavio
Arsenal face competition if they are to land reported target, Otavio, with reports suggesting Leicester City have made an offer for the Brazilian.
Italy’s Tuttermercatoweb claims the Foxes have put an offer on the table to bring Otavio to the Premier League. The 25-year-old is out of contract this summer, meaning he can move on a free if he wishes.

The Express claims Arsenal are among the clubs interested in Otavio as well. However, that same report claims heavy interest from Italy could also prevent a Gunners move, with AC Milan supremo, Paulo Maldini, apparently already making contact with the player.
Arsenal are still in the hunt for a creative midfielder despite their improved performance in the last few weeks. Otavio could fit the bill, given he has four assists and two goals in just the ten appearances this season.

But the Gunners will need to move fast, it seems, with plenty of interest from around Europe and the Premier League in Otavio.

Arsenal are going to be linked with a host of players but given the Porto man is on a free, this one might make sense.
25 is a good age, too. Otavio would have time to develop, bed himself into the English game, and work his way into Mikel Arteta’s set-up.
Of course, interest from Milan and Roma will be tempting for the Brazilian, more so if a legend like Maldini has already been in touch.
