Arsenal are facing competition this summer over the transfer of Dani Ceballos, with The Express reporting that the likes of AC Milan and Real Betis are monitoring his situation.
Ceballos is still a Real Madrid player despite spending the season with the Gunners. His season-long loan spell is due to end soon, although Mikel Arteta has made it known he is keen to keep the 23-year-old.
However, it appears Arsenal will have a fight on their hands to land Ceballos. AC Milan, who are getting a new manager in Ralf Rangnick, are reportedly keen on adding the Spaniard to their ranks.
In Spain, meanwhile, it is believed both Valencia and Real Betis are monitoring the midfielder’s situation.
It could, then, mean that Arsenal have more obstacles in their way than they first thought when it comes to Ceballos.
The midfielder has impressed in recent weeks. Most notably, against Leicester, Jamie Redknapp pointed out on Sky Sports how the assist to Bukayo Saka was ‘Kevin De Bruyne-esque’.
Ceballos is not thought to have a future in Madrid. The Gunners will be hoping to secure a permanent deal for the Spanish star, with another season loan also not out of the question.

Despite faltering midway through the season, Dani Ceballos has really started to impress in the last few weeks of the season.
He scored a superb winner in the FA Cup at Sheffield United while his performance against Leicester, as Redknapp pointed out, was superb.
If Arsenal can land him permanently it would be ideal. But either way, Mikel Arteta will be keen to ensure the club brings back one of his star performers.
