Arsenal are reportedly interested in a move for Juventus defender Merih Demiral.
According to a report from Turkish-Football, the Gunners have made contact with the Italian champions over the 21-year-old, who only joined the Old Lady this summer.
Demiral completed an €18 million/£16 million move from Sassuolo, but has thus far been unable to prove his worth to Maurizio Sarri, who has his clear favourites in Matthijs de Ligt and Leonardo Bonucci.

Demiral has been handed just one appearance so far, against Hellas Verona in a Serie A match back in September.
Turkish-Football say Juve don’t want to sell but could consider any offers above €30 million/£26 million.
Arsenal have been struggling defensively in 2019/20 despite the summer addition of David Luiz.
The Gunners also signed William Saliba, but the French youngster is spending the current campaign on loan at Saint-Etienne.
TBR’s view – Juve surely unlikely to sell Demiral
It would be a big surprise if Arsenal were able to land Demiral in January, especially since he only just signed for I Bianconeri.

Sarri can be quite stubborn as Premier League fans will know, but surely Demiral would not be let go on a permanent basis, with Juve competing in three competitions.
Perhaps, if anything, a loan move would be most realistic, as it would see Arsenal get cover until the end of the season ahead of Saliba’s arrival in the summer.
