Arsenal are said to be interested in signing Real Madrid and Brazil forward, Vinicius Junior, according to a report from the Daily Star.

Vinicius Junior, 20, has been playing regularly for Madrid this season but Arsenal are believed to be keen on securing him on a loan deal in January, with the Gunners set to stick with Mikel Arteta.

The Brazilian has long been considered one of the top talents to emerge out of the South American nation and has started to get more minutes under his belt this season in La Liga.

Indeed, Vinicius has started eight times for Zinedine Zidane’s outfit this term, although he has notched just the two La Liga goals.

The tricky forward arrived in Madrid from Flamengo, and won his first cap for the Brazilian national team back in September of 2019.

Vinicius is a fine player but whether he’s the solution for Arsenal at the moment is another question. He is still young, somewhat unproven, and has a lot to learn.

However, former Brazil striker Edmundo once said he could be the ‘new Neymar’, which is high praise indeed for anyone.

Vinicius has started to look the part for Madrid in recent months, which could make this a tricky deal for the Gunners to get over the line in all honesty.
