Report: Arsenal, Everton and Moyes among those to set sights on 17-year-old English prospect

Arsenal, Everton and West Ham are reportedly among the clubs interested in youngster Lewis Leigh from Championship side Preston North End.

According to Football London, a bunch of Premier League teams are monitoring the 17-year-old talent. Arsenal, Leicester City, Everton and West Ham have all set their sights on him.

The English teenager was let go by Liverpool a few years ago before being snapped up by Preston.

It is understood that the English teenager is expected to pen a new contract at his current club with one year remaining on his scholarship deal.

Leigh, who doesn’t turn 18 until December, has already featured for Preston’s Under-18s team.

In addition, he was named on the first-team bench back in March for a Championship fixture away to Millwall. The midfielder didn’t get to make a senior debut, but he must be highly thought of at Deepdale.

For youngster Leigh, it’s a huge compliment to attract some of the elite teams in the country.

There is great history in all four of the potential suitors in producing young talents. For example, the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe are both thriving in the Arsenal first team after coming through their youth system.
