Report: Arsenal doctors think Odegaard and Zinchenko will be back for NLD
The Gunners returned to winning ways against Brentford last weekend, but both Odegaard and Zinchenko missed that game. They are two key players for Mikel Arteta, and he’ll be desperate to have them back for the derby on October 1st.
Thankfully for him, it looks like there’s some good news now.
Arsenal doctors think Odegaard and Zinchenko will be back for NLD
Goal reveal the latest on the injury issues at Arsenal at the moment, and all eyes, unsurprisingly, are on Zinchenko and Odegaard.
Both players are key members of their respective national teams, but they have reportedly stayed back in London, for now, to recover from their respective injuries.
The report claims that Odegaard’s calf issue is something he has been carrying for a few weeks now. He has been playing through the pain for Arsenal, but the Gunners’ medical staff decided it was best that he didn’t feature against Brentford.
Odegaard is currently undergoing further medical checks in London, and he could even fly out to join the Norway squad soon. The report claims that Arsenal believe he will be back for the North London Derby – unless he picks up an injury on international duty.
Zinchenko, like Odegaard, has stayed back in London, and the report claims he will miss both of Ukraine’s games against Scotland and Armenia during this international break.
The four-time Premier League winner is suffering from a calf problem and has missed three games already this season because of that. However, the report claims that the Arsenal medical team are hopeful he will be back for the North London Derby on October 1st.
The North London Derby at the start of next month is shaping up to be a huge one for both clubs.
Tottenham are unbeaten in the Premier League so far this season. Although they haven’t looked great, they’re picking up results, which is the most important thing, and Antonio Conte will have his lads fired up.
Arsenal have been incredible so far this season. They’ve won six of their first seven games and are on top of the Premier League table. They look really, really good, and if they have both Zinchenko and Odegaard back, they could cause Spurs all sorts of problems.
All signs point towards a cracking game at the Emirates, and we’re just as excited as you are!
