Italian website FCInterNews have claimed that Arsenal have offered Shkodran Mustafi to Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan as a low-cost option for the Serie A giants – with Mustafi’s contract set to expire at the end of June.
Mustafi, 28, is set to leave Arsenal in 2021 – whether that is in January or in the summer remains to be seen. The World Cup winner has been linked with Lazio, but it is now claimed that he has been offered to Inter Milan.
The report claims that Arsenal offered Mustafi to Inter Milan on Thursday after rejecting proposals from Genoa, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. It is believed Mustafi wants a move to Inter or even Barcelona.
It is claimed Inter could be keen on Mustafi, following a long-term injury to Danilo D’Ambrosio. Mustafi’s versatility makes him the ideal replacement for the Italian defender – though it remains to be seen how much he will cost.

TBR’s view – What is a good fee for Arsenal?
Mustafi finds himself in a similar position to both David Luiz and Sokratis – but they are both well into their thirties while Mustafi is still some way away from turning 30. His contract is expiring in the summer, though.
Arsenal signed Mustafi for a whopping £35million but that figure has never been repaid by the ex-Valencia man. If the Gunners can get more than £5million, given he could go anywhere on a free, they will have done well.
