Arsenal may be offered the chance to offload Hector Bellerin this summer, with the Daily Express reporting that Paris Saint-Germain are amongst the European heavyweights looking at the Spaniard.

Bellerin has endured a tough time over the last couple of years due to injury. He has only made 11 Premier League starts this season.

There may be concerns amongst some of the Emirates faithful that the 25-year-old may not be able to reach the level he looked destined for when he burst into the first-team.

But despite his struggles, he appears to be attracting a lot of attention from elsewhere.

The Daily Express reports that PSG want Bellerin, while Juventus and Bayern Munich are also interested in the defender.

The Express notes that Mikel Arteta could be tempted to sell Bellerin to provide his own transfer kitty with a boost.

It would arguably be a gamble to let Bellerin go. The stature of the clubs reportedly chasing his signature acts as a reminder of how good he can be.

And Arteta recently praised Bellerin for the way that he has bounced back from injury, in comments reported by the club’s official website.

“He’s had a lot of injuries in the past season that hasn’t allowed him to be very consistent, even in training or in the games that he’s played. And obviously when that happens your level of consistency in performance will always drop.

“But the effort that he puts in, the commitment that he shows to the club and the players is always at the top.”

However, you could also understand why some Arsenal fans may be tempted to suggest that now is the time to let him move on.

The Gunners have signed Cedric Soares on a permanent basis. And Spotrac shows Bellerin to be one of the club’s highest earners at £110,000-a-week.

If Bellerin is not going to be playing regularly, then perhaps Arsenal should be open to offers.

Given the clubs linked with a move, there is perhaps an opportunity for the Gunners to receive a significant sum for a player who has arguably not been at his best for some time.
