Arsenal have decided against signing Real Madrid magician Isco after Emile Smith Rowe’s emergence, according to Marca.
The 20-year-old talent has played the last three games for the Gunners, registering two assists in the process.
Smith Rowe has shone in Europe this season as well; scoring once and claiming a further two assists.
Arsenal were linked with a move for Isco but that now appears to be on the back burner for now at least.

The 28-year-old is down the pecking order at the Bernabeu and has started just three games in La Liga this season.
Real Madrid are willing to sanction a departure for the player and could let him leave for just £18 million.
Isco has played 318 times for Los Blancos, scoring 51 goals and claiming 55 assists.
He earns £123,000-a-week in Spain and perhaps wouldn’t be deemed affordable for the Gunners right now.
Arteta placing his faith in Smith Rowe is a big positive for the youngster.
The boss has clearly been satisfied with his performance levels of late and he has helped the Gunners to three successive Premier League wins.
It seems as though Smith Rowe simply needed a chance to impress.
He was loaned out to Huddersfield for the second half of last season and a shoulder injury hampered his chances earlier in the current campaign.
TBR View – Smith Rowe now has a perfect chance to shine
Arteta has shown a strong degree of willing when it comes to utilising younger players and this could be Smith Rowe’s moment.
He should now earn a chance to nail down a place in the team and that should delight supporters.

They love to see a graduate from the Hale End academy produce the goods for the first team and Smith Rowe could be the latest off the conveyor belt.
There looks to be more to come from the youngster and not going for Isco looks like a wise thing to do.
