Arsenal could look to take their third player from Lille in as many years, as they weigh up a move for Renato Sanches.
Repeating the trick
The Daily Mail say that Arsenal have penned in Sanches as a potential option to sign, if they fail to land James Maddison from Leicester City.
The Gunners really like Maddison, but realise that doing a deal could be difficult, due to the Foxes’ asking price.
As a result Sanches has emerged as an alternative option, as Mikel Arteta and Edu look to add more creativity to their side.
Lille may be forced to cash in on Sanches this summer, due to the financial problems at the French club.
Strong connections
And Arsenal are said to have a strong relationship with Lille now, which could aid them in negotiations.

Arteta’s side have brought in Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel from Lille in the last two years, and could repeat the trick again this summer.
If Sanches was to join he wouldn’t be quite in the same mould as Maddison, but he could still be appealing.
Maddison possesses slightly greater finesse and carries a bigger goal threat than Sanches.
But Sanches would be considerably cheaper, and having his energy and technical quality would certainly be a boost for Arsenal as they seek to improve on last season’s disappointing finish.
