Spanish outlet TodoFichajes has claimed that Arsenal could look to raid Real Madrid for the permanent signing of Dani Ceballos this summer, but only if he impresses after the restart.
Ceballos, 23, has had a somewhat mixed season at Arsenal since initially joining the club on a season-long loan from Real Madrid under Unai Emery. He has since played 24 times for the Gunners, scoring only one goal.
The Spain international was forced to watch from the sidelines between November and January due to injury, but he has since returned to impress under Mikel Arteta after failing to do so under Emery.
Now, the report states Arsenal could be tempted to sign him permanently this summer if he continues to improve his form after the restart. Real Madrid want to sell him, and are open to reducing his £36million price tag.
As per ESPN, Emery once described Ceballos as a “very good player”.

TBR’s view – Is Ceballos worth signing? And if so, at what price?
Ceballos is a decent midfielder but you obviously have to have plenty of quality to have clocked up 56 Real Madrid appearances and nine Spain caps. It must be remembered that his loan to Arsenal was his first non-Spanish voyage.
Still a young man, the move to England was always going to take time to come to fruition. Now showing better form in recent matches, Ceballos could be a decent option if Arsenal can reduce the price tag.
£36million is far too much for what Arsenal fans have seen. But if the Gunners can reduce that asking price to a fee in the region of £25million, then surely they would be much more inclined to see the permanent signing of Ceballos.
