Arsenal could make a move for Lille defender Zeki Celik today, with Hector Bellerin’s exit impending, the Daily Express say.
Bid incoming?
Arsenal are still on the hunt for a right-back and Celik is said to be among their top targets.
The Gunners board have apparently discussed a move and even though no bid has been submitted, one could be made before the close of play today.
If Arsenal could force through a move for Celik, he could be an appealing addition.
The Turkish defender is blessed with great pace, and would certainly solve a problem position in their squad if he was to arrive.
Right back needed
Both Calum Chambers and Cedric Soares have played at right-back this term, but neither have fully convinced.
Celik, on the other hand, won the French title with Lille last term, when he became established as one of the best defensive prospects in Ligue 1.
The London Evening Standard has suggested that his asking price stands at around £13 million this summer, which suggests he shouldn’t be too expensive.

The problem for Arsenal is that they will have to work very fast to get a deal done.
There are just hours remaining in the transfer window, which may make Lille more hesitant to part company with their first choice right-back, as they have such limited time to seek out a replacement.
