Arsenal could decide to loan William Saliba to a club in the Championship following the transfer window’s initial deadline on Monday, according to a report from the Press Association via The Independent.
Perhaps surprisingly, Saliba is yet to make his debut for the Gunners. He looked bright in pre-season. However, he has only been named on the bench on a couple of occasions this term.

And it appeared that Mikel Arteta had decided that he would be better off spending another year on loan. The Mail on Sunday (4/10; page 143) reported at the weekend that Premier League rival Leeds had been offered the 19-year-old.
However, Monday’s deadline has since passed and Saliba can no longer join a top flight club. Nevertheless, it would appear that he could still seal a temporary switch.

According to PA via The Independent, Arsenal are considering whether to loan Saliba out to a club in the Championship one year after his £27 million move.
It would be no surprise if every second tier side at least discussed whether they could make a bid for the centre-back.
Saliba – who earns £40,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – looked destined to play a role for Arsenal this term. And while that has not proved to be the case so far, he remains a fantastic prospect.
Of course, wages will rule some teams out of the running. And Arteta will surely want Saliba to join a side which attempts to replicate the style of football he has implemented at the Emirates.
