Arsenal have seemingly received a boost in their pursuit of David Raya, with The Sun reporting that Brentford have identified a potential replacement for the goalkeeper with the Gunners prepared to offer £10 million for the 24-year-old.
Raya has been linked with a move to the Emirates for a little while. However, it appeared that Mikel Arteta was facing a tough task trying to sign the Spaniard.

The Telegraph recently reported that Brentford were not willing to even begin negotiations over a potential move for Raya.
But perhaps, that may no longer be the case.

Raya was left out of Brentford’s squad for their opening day defeat to Birmingham on Saturday. Meanwhile, The Sun notes that Arsenal are close to selling Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa.
And The Sun has suggested that the Gunners are ready to bid up to £10 million for Raya. And encouragingly, the report notes that Thomas Frank’s men are considering a move for Dillon Phillips amid doubts over Raya’s future.
Arsenal clearly have plenty of work to do before landing Raya. It would be little surprise if Brentford demanded a larger fee than £10 million for the former Blackburn goalkeeper.
But the Bees considering a replacement will provide Arsenal with a boost. That hints that their stance could have changed and they may be more open to entering talks.
The uncertainty is probably doing Brentford few favours either. So perhaps, it should not be a surprise if a resolution is not too far away after previously looking unlikely.
