Arsenal are thought to be interested in signing Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz, according to 90Min. The news comes on the back of reports that former club Manchester City might also be eyeing a move.
The Gunners will be in search of players in all areas during the summer, with Mikel Arteta keen to put his own stamp on the squad.
Luiz has been inspired for the Villans this season, playing in 41 games for the club in all competitions.

The 22-year-old has played once for Brazil and has shown the Premier League what he is all about after his £15 million move last summer (BBC).
Interestingly, earlier this week ex-Arsenal stalwart Tony Adams told Stadium Astro that the Gunners should be looking to sign a player like Luiz.
He said: “We need a holding midfield player like Douglas Luiz. Maybe a bit stronger and a bit taller, like Gilberto or a Manu Petit. We are crying out for stability and resilience.”
Luiz has a physical presence that Arsenal are lacking and Arteta would dearly love to strengthen his midfield.
The Gunners highlighted their occasional soft touch earlier this week as they lost to an Aston Villa side featuring Luiz.
Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guedouzi are both in danger of being sold and that will leave Arsenal on the lookout for another holding player.
TBR View – Luiz would be an excellent addition for Arsenal
Plenty of people have cited Arsenal’s defence as being the main cause for concern but the root of their defensive problems begins in midfield.

The club has struggled in the years since Patrick Vieira and Gilberto Silva to really replace them.
Luiz has shown this season, albeit in a struggling side, that he can marshall the back four with ease and get attacks moving from a deeper-lying role.
A year in the Premier League will really help Luiz settle and he could prove a shrewd addition for the Gunners.
