Arsenal will reportedly consider the future of Alexandre Lacazette, with the player set to enter the final 18 months of his contract.

The Frenchman, who joined the club in 2017 for a £46.5m with add-ons (BBC), is 30 next and, according to Eurosport, is one of a number of players being considered for a sale by Mikel Arteta.

Lacazette has been a regular for Arteta this season but has found goals hard to come by. He has just three in the Premier League as the Gunners, in general, have struggled in the league.

And Eurosport claims Arsenal could be willing to move Lacazette on, as Arteta looks for ways to move and shape his squad going into the net few transfer windows.

The Frenchman has played 140 games for the Gunners, per Transfermarkt, scoring 52 goals along the way. However, his spell in north London has been somewhat underwhelming and he has never quite hit the heights some expected.

With Balogun and Nketiah emerging, there’s not a desperate need for Lacazette to stay around if Arteta isn’t overly enamoured with him.

Those two young Gunners are playing well and looking like stars of the future, so if Arsenal can get some money in for Lacazette, then they should consider it.

A number of teams wanted him in the summer, so the interest is there. Arteta, then, has a big call to make it seems.
